Here’s the post that I’m talking about. HERE

YAY!

For some of you that may not know, around June I joined a Blog/Vlog Competition from K-Style Indo and surprisingly I won and had a chance to get a free trip to South Korea..

After I took care my passport and visa administration, K-Style Indo contacted Cyndi and I for our departure at August 30th midnight. In the afternoon, I took a flight from Jogjakarta to meet with Cyndi and Mbak Ria. I’m so excited for the next 3 days, after Mbak Ria  explained our itinerary.  YAY!!

Took 7 hours from Cengkareng to Incheon, and we arrived around 8.30 am KST. Rain and cold weather welcomed us, Mas Freddy and Ted already waited us so I was in a hurry to change my clothes. Psssst! fun fact guys, I didn’t take a bath on my first day in Seoul. Cause we didn’t have enough time.

We went directly to Tae Sung Industry if I’m not mistaken located in Anyang. In Tae Sung Industry, Eunice, Jenny, Salma, and Ted welcomed us. Our first agenda was an introduction about Tae Sung Industry as cosmetic container manufacturer and Tonymoly as brand that support by Tae Sung Industry.

In the meeting room, you could see all of cosmetic container that Tae Sung Industry produce. There’re some brand that I acknowledge like Tonymoly, Mood Matcher, and La Biotte. But there’re so many brand that I don’t know even know. Like a cosmetic brand from China, even from Europe.

Selanjutnya Eunice menjelaskan latar belakang Tonymoly sebagai salah satu anak perusahaan dari Tae Sung Industry, dimulai dari berdirinya Tonymoly, dan produk best seller Tonymoly selama 10 tahun Tony  Moly berdiri.

Next, Eunice explained us about Tonymoly as a brand that Tae Sung Industry support, about award that Tonymoly achive, their best seller product, and many others. Eunice told about Tonymoly vision as a urban beauty lifestyle. In my opinion, the way that they change some of their old packaging into a better one is to represent their company vision.

*it’s so hard to explain it in english 😦

Ahjumma nya malah ketawa trus sambil ditiup kakiku biar ga begitu panas. Selama spa, juga sempet ngobrol sebentar sama ahjumma nya pake bahasa korea. Walaupun bahasa korea ku sama sekali ga lancar.

Our next destination is Myeongdong! We’re not do any shopping but we’re heading to spa place to get massage and trying Tonymoly yang Prestige Jeju Snail Hydro Gel Mask. The spa is so good and the ahjumma(?) is so kind. Because at first they put our feet in a hot paraffin wax and I accidentally said “아! 뜨거운” which is mean hot. The ahjumma laughed and blowed my feet so it’ll less hot. Because of that, we had a little bit conversation in korean. It’s really fun actually.

LOL

kstylegoestokorea-25

Salma brought us to one of Tonymoly stores in Myeong while we were waitung our driver to come. She showed us some Tonymoly best seller products and I  bought some of their lip tint for my friends.

Our last agenda was dinner with Eunice, Jenny, Salma, and Ted. Vice president of Tonymoly supposed to join us, but due to his work he couldn’t join us. We had kind of traditional korean style dinner, and I always asked what kind of food that I’m going to eat. Cause it’s totally a new experience to me and I’m so curious. There’re so many good dish but some of them kinda failed to me cause it doesn’t suit my taste at all. FYI! I love their kimchi. It’s totally different with kimchi that I tried in Jogja.

kstylegoestokorea-38

Well, there is always another room for dessert. This is my first time to tried bingsu and I kinda love it. Even though I had sore throat in the morning cause I ate too much ice and sweet.

Actually after say goodbye to Eunice and others, Cyndi and I asked Mas Freddy and Mbak Ria to visit Innisfree store near our apartment. We had last minute shopping, cause the store will close at 11 PM KST. I bought some Innisfre products, lucky me cause there’s Lush store and I bought bath bomb for the first time. I’m gonna talk about it soon on another post so stay tune guys!

So that’s it for my fisrt day on South Korea, sorry for my bad English and amateur photos. Please bear with me, cause I’m still learning about it.
